That can’t be the time.

Good golly gosh. It’s nearly 2010!

Now would be a good time to post a reflective blog about 2009, but I already did that a month ago. So… I’ll talk about this coming year instead!

I’m a little bit scared about 2010, and I don’t know why. I think it’s because 2009 was such a good year that I’m not sure I’ll be able to top it with 2010.

I don’t like the thought of having just another mediocre year when this year has been so awesome.

I want to make 2010 a year to remember.

I’m not sure how I’m going to do that though. I want to do something pretty big. Something memorable.

There’s a few ideas bouncing around in my head at the moment, but I don’t really have any concrete ideas of just how I’m actually going to make 2010 memorable.

Maybe I could try to visit 12 different countries in 2010. One new country each month. It wouldn’t even need to be expensive… perhaps a day trip to Paris, a short weekend in Amsterdam, or a £1 flight to Dublin. I always said I wanted to travel and see the world.

I want to stop being one of those people who plans to do things. I want to become a do-er.

I’ve always wanted to learn to speak German. To go skydiving. To play the piano. To eat a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich.

I’ve always put off doing ALL those things. I tell myself “I’ll do them at some point in the future”. But if I don’t actually do these things, sooner or later I’m going to be an old man looking back on a lifetime of regrets and missed opportunities.

My god, I sound like I’m having a midlife crisis xD

Essentially, I just want to make sure 2010 is a good year. Wish me luck? xD

I hope you all had a great Christmas! AND, if you have any goals for 2010 I’d love to hear what they are in the comments :)

Johnny <3

Johnny, the year did pass by a little quickly didn’t it? I have so many ambitions as well; here are a few:
to gain confidence in my Spanish speaking
to knit fingerless gloves
to do something out of character
–though i do eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. (i still prefer pb+ banana sanndwiches :P)And, I wish you luck; I know you will achieve your goals.

Adios!
Jessica

Johnny, you’ve so perfectly captured my state of mind as the New Year approaches. I, too, want to be a do-er. I’ve planned many things, but rarely have I brought those plans to fruition.

So, now you know you aren’t the only person that feels this way; there’s a whole lot of us learning to become movers and shakers, not just planners and fakers.

Happy New Year, and Good Luck in 2010 :D

Cheers,
Jake

Usually I don’t make resolutions, or even plan very far ahead at any time of year, but reading your blog gave me an idea of something I’d like to fix this year. I’d really like to care more. I’d like to be able a year from now to be excited about the holidays and be excited for a new year. I’m annoyingly apathetic and I think it’s about time I changed that :)

Oh, and thanks for the chartjackers christmas card. I’d forgotten so was completely surprised when it came in the post!

Hoping for an awesome 2010!
Eleanor

OH. MY. GOD. JOHNNY. Next time you come to NY, I’m going to travel those 2 hrs to get to the city with a PB&J sandwich with me. I’m completely serious.
I can’t wait to go sky diving. That would be sooo fun!
I want to learn Polish and German. =)
haha, midlife crisis. <3
Goal for 2010? HMM how about more than 10 subscribers and also poss getting the courage to actually talk to guys.

Love, dyan
ps: AWESOME picture <3

Aawww Johnny i hope you’re going to learn German/or visit so i can see you in like ‘real’ :D

Maybe you should go on an cruise ( i did that and saw lots of countries in 2 weeks :o)

<3

Ah…. So it’s New Year Resolution Time, eh?
Mine are small, but personal challenges of mine:
–get/maintain good grades
–learn more Spanish/Chinese
–update blob/write more often

….And more, but I can’t think of any more write now….

Good luck to us both!
Buenas suerte!

AUDREY.

**BLOG - not blob [How do you update a blob?!?? ;D]

Hallo daar, hoe gaat het?
Which is Dutch (not Deutsch) for: Hello there, how are you? ;-)

Don’t we all want to be do-ers? I think the majority of people have the same feeling you have, Johnny. Don’t you think that every year has its memorable moments? Positive and negative…
When we’re grey and old in our retirement home drewling in our chair, it’s best to really lived your live. Even though its easier said than done, sometimes. I wish you the best with the goals you set yourself.Hope you’ll achieve them. I will remind you of this blog post next year! LOL. As for me I think I wanna keep the positive vibe that I’m in, lately. Feels nice. Have a great 2010!

Haha I have also always wanted to eat a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich! xD That and fish ‘n chips. ;)

I have a feeling 2010 will be a great year. A Happy New Year to you Johnny! :D

Happy New Year! When you’ll be visiting Paris or Amsterdam, you should get a one day trip to Poland, Poznan maybe :D

my goals for 2010: get a job, find true love and learn Spanish more than i do now. hard..

love, Aga

I never did understand why all that doing-stuff-before-it’s-too-late was associated with a midlife crisis. That’s pretty much my motto, anyway.

On second thought, maybe I should start living up to it…

Happy new year!

S.

You will have a good year Johnny. :)

I want to..

- Attend a youtube gathering
- Go abroad somewhere hot
- Get my horse fit
- Go to lots of gigs
- Make some videos
- I’m totally shy and nerdy, and I find it quite hard to talk to new people. (Oh gosh, I’m making myself sound like to total loner, I’m not, seriosly D:) So I’d like to try and meet new people and stop being to emotionless :|
- Buy sexy new Johnny Durham Tees! :D

<3 :)

With all these New Year’s videos and such going around, I hope I somewhat inspired you to write this blog :) for I fully believe 2010 should be memorable in every way possible.
Best of luck in achieving all your goals..!
There’s no better time than now to achieve them ^_^ and I’m pretty sure you’ll make next year one to remember.

One goal for me in 2010:
Make more friends, near and far.

Happy New Yearrr!

2009 was insane. I met and married a man who lives 2000 miles away from home, and January 2010 is going to see me move away from home for the first time, to a new country no less, with my new husband. I think my only goal for now is to try and stay sane…

I hope you achieve your goals Johnny! Happy New Year!

my new years resolution is the opposite! i want to plan a bit more. i also would like to smile more dance more and love more. i would like another johnny durham shirt!!!!i got number 72 of and then we dance and i love it!!!!!

If you plan coming to Porto, Portugal I can arrange you a place to crash!;) I really want to travel more, but I don’t really have anyone to go with me, cause my friends just started their new jobs.. so bad luck!

If you could wait until SITC, I could bring you a PB&J. We could be happy peanut butter eating vegetarians together!

That picture is wonderful.
Damn it I should have waited to take you to Hong Kong NEXT YEAR!
Darn it
<3

I want the same thing as you.i mean to make this year memorable.i’m turning 18 and stuff but still i just feel like this is going to be my year:D
and here’s a cool thing i found:
it’a site where you make a list for 101 things you want to do in 356 days,so instead of having just one big goal you’ll have 101 mini goals, and it’s really cool.i think i’m gonna feel very accomplished checking all those things off the list.
here’s the link:
http://101in365.com

hope you check it out.
happy new year^^

Johnny, that sounds like brain crack to me. But no worries, I BELIEVE IN YOU! Go out there, become a do-er! <3
